Another of the more colourful Humidicutis species with a greenish/brown cap fading towards the striate margin with yellow gills. The stipe is orange at the top and fades to yellow at the base. In recent times, the concept of what H. luteovirens looks like has changed. Now, lumped in with these is a green variant, see below.
Common name: None
Found: Broadleaf Forest
Substrate: Ground
Spore: White
Height: 60 mm
Width: 30 mm
Season: Autumn
Edible: No
Recent sequencing of this green species has also indicated that this is also H. luteovirens. It's easy to see why I have so many misgivings over sequencing and its reliable interpretation. These have a green cap that does not change colour, with yellow gills and a green stipe that fades to yellow towards the base.
Again it has the typical yellow gills.
