Description:
Cap: 15–30 mm diam.; dry to slightly waxy, hygrophanous. Colour dark yellow to brownish orange, later with a yellow‑orange centre. Surface finely innate‑fibrillose; margin striate, with thin yellow fibrils when young.
Lamellae: Colour dark yellow to orange; moderately spaced. Edges concolorous, even.
Stipe: Cylindrical to slightly tapering; colour yellow to greyish yellow, sometimes citrinous. Surface with thin yellowish fibrils; mycelial felt white. Cortina yellow; veil yellow to pale yellow, later reddish‑tinged, sparse.
Context: Greyish yellow, becoming stronger yellow in the stipe base.
Odour/taste: Odour faintly raphanoid or absent. Taste nil.
