Description:
Pileus Size to 30 mm. Shape hemispherical to campanulate sometimes with abrupt papilla. Colour dark brown, darker at the center, lighter towords striate margine. Lamellae Light brown pink ting with age. Attachment free edge concolorous with gills. Stipe Size to 80 mm x 4 mm. Colour: light brown, silky.single. class=textgreen>Odour not distinctive. Taste not distinctive. Chemical reactions on pileus: KOH - no change; HCl - no change. Basidia 35-45 x 10-12 µm., 4-spored. Cheilocystidia 40 - 130 x 10-18 µm. conspicuous, cylindrical or clavate Pileipellis a cutis of repent cylindrical hyphae; Clamp connections present.

Habitat: Lowland podocarp-broadleaved forest in assosiation with Dacrycarpus dacrydioides (Kahikatea).
